Warranty

ReptileUV warrant our Mega-Ray® lamps and ballasts to be in good working order during the warranty period as stated for each product. In the case of Self Ballasted Lamps this is for a period of six months from date of purchase; for Externally Ballasted Lamps this is for one year from the date of purchase, and for Ballast Boxes, the warranty period is two years from the date of purchase.

This warranty is in addition to your statutory rights as a consumer.

In the event that the product is found to be defective within the warranty period, and fails prematurely as a result, ReptileUV will at their own discretion replace it free of charge with an identical or equivalent product.

This warranty is pro-rated; i.e. the product replacement is covered by the original warranty for the remaining time that the original warranty is in force. For example: If a lamp with a one year warranty fails at 8 months, you will receive a replacement item with the remaining 4 months on the warranty.

This service may only be obtained free of charge if the product is returned to ReptileUV in its original packing and with the original receipt. (See "Return Information" for full details.)

The warranty does not cover premature failure of the product due to accidents such as dropping the product, spillage of water, fire, lightning etc.; nor improper or excessive use, improper ventilation, incorrect storage, excessive shocks, unauthorized attempts to repair or modify the product, connecting the product to the incorrect electrical supply or, in the case of lamps, the use of damaged or defective fixtures or those with inappropriate ratings.
