I got my recent order of 3 self ballasted 100w Megaray flood lamps. Got another story for ya. I had a halogen bulb over my yearling tortoises for a couple of months 'cause I added some enclosures, but hadn't gotten around to ordering the extra Megaray's that I knew I needed. (I know. What the heck was I thinking?) Anyway, I plugged in the new lamps, and within 24 hours, those tortoises came BACK TO LIFE! They had been acting sluggish for about a month. Suddenly, they were acting HAPPY again. Thanks for a great product!

Thanks for sending me the Mega Ray. I love this bulb. The beam spread is so wide and the numbers with my uvb meter are so good especially at the periphery. Also the color of the light is very close to the whiteness of the 5500K Reptisuns and the 5100K 55watt compact fluorescents in all of my vivariums so I don¹t have to shut them off for photography.

That's the good news.That bad news is I don¹t want to use the old 60w EBs anymore after seeing the Mega Ray. Now I see this new megaray bulb and I want to go back to MV as the primary.
