Compact Fluorescent Full-Spectrum Light Bulbs
Our new full-spectrum compact fluorescent light bulbs mimic natural light and last up to 4 years. The LongStar is a very efficient and ecological light source that produces approximately 4 times more light per watt and lasts up to 13 times longer than conventional incandescent light bulbs! These 40 watt bulbs produce the same amount of light as 150watt incandescent bulbs. In addition, fluorescent technology helps save on energy consumption, which means a reduction of global pollution.These compact lamps emit a very pleasant natural light that is desirable for your reptile vivariums. LongStar light bulbs last an average of 10,000 hours (2 ½ years of 12 hr. cycle) and fit standard lamps and fixtures.
This bulb does not produce any UVB. We sell these lamps to be used alongside a high quality UVB lamp such as our Mega-Ray® Narrow Flood Lamp. Their function is to improve the visible light in the Vivarium.
