Mega-Ray® Florescent Bulbs
When you change over from using dim and gloomy Reptile Fluorescent UVB tubes to using our Mega-Ray® mercury vapour lamps for all your reptile's UV needs, why not upgrade his background lighting too? Keep your old fluorescent tube fittings... and put in one of our bright, full spectrum (no UVB) tubes. These will really brighten up your vivarium while giving your reptile the very best visible light possible. Improved lighting for sun-loving reptiles improves their activity levels. All of our fluorescent lamps come with a 1 year warranty, excluding breakage. The “initial lumens” stated are by the manufacturer.
The use of reflectors or domes with these fluorescent bulbs will greatly enhance the amount of light directed forward (up to twice the LUX).
Our LUX readings are taken at 12"
We do not warranty undamaged delivery of tube lighting! Different versions of these 5000K NON-UVB fluorescent tubes can be found at local lighting distributors.
This bulb does not produce any UVB. We sell these lamps to be used alongside a high quality UVB lamp such as our Mega-Ray® Narrow Flood Lamp. Their function is to improve the visible light in the Vivarium.
